Before your visit
Here we have gathered some information about what is good to know when you visit us at Asia Spa.
This is how a visit to Asia Spa works:
When you arrive at Asia Spa, you will be welcomed and given a short introduction. You will be given a yukata (Japanese bathrobe) and slippers. This is the dress code at the spa and what you wear over your swimwear when you move around our premises.
If you are a hotel guest, please change into a yukata and slippers in your room and wear swimwear underneath. When swimming and staying in common areas, swimwear is mandatory.
You will also receive a basket with a mug, washcloth and towel. You carry this with you so that you can easily refill it with liquid and dry yourself between the different experiences.
Below you can already read about what to experience at the spa, and how to get the most out of your stay.

Japanese Ablution and changing
Start your spa trip in the laundry room. Sit down on a wooden stool and fill up a tub with hot water. Pour the water over your body, take your washcloth and scrub your whole body thoroughly with soap and water. Allow the Ablution to take time and rinse thoroughly of products and thoughts of negativity and worry. The Ablution aims to cleanse the body while the warm bath purifies the soul.
The washing rooms are separate for men and women. Ablution is best done without swimwear on. After Ablution, put on your swimwear, bathrobe and slippers.

Room for rest & relaxation
After the Ablution, we suggest you visit the dry areas of our rooms for rest & relaxation. Here you will find Surya and our orangery, where you can relax in the light that flows in through the large windows.
Furthermore, you will find Peacock House, which is a slightly quieter department with, among other things, light and dark therapy rooms.

Peacock House – meditate in light or dark
Our light therapy room is decorated entirely in restful white. Here you can recharge your batteries in pleasant warmth. Enjoy the life-giving light, relax and listen to guided meditation.
The darkroom is a peaceful place for recovery. Here you can rest in warm water beds and listen to meditation or music.

Vitality pool and hot springs
Now might be the time to head to the wetlands for some warm and lovely bathing. Sink into the warm waters of the Japanese springs and feel the fresh air sweep in through the open panoramic windows. The Vitality Pool offers a full body massage in 30-degree water. Move between the massage stations and let the water work on your stiff muscles.

Roof terrace with pool, sauna and cold bath
Through our glazed spa lounge you step out onto a terrace overlooking the sea and Varberg Fortress. Here you can enjoy a warm rooftop pool all year round, a sauna with panoramic views and a refreshing cold bath.

Bastuoas
It is nice to end the spa experience with a moment in the sauna oasis. In our sauna oasis you can enjoy several types of sauna baths. Eucalyptus softens the joints in the steam sauna and the salt sauna embraces you with 45-degree heat.
Between rounds, you can relax in the low-temperature sauna or take a refreshing dip in the cold tub.

good to keep in mind
- Please avoid bringing valuables to the spa. There are a limited number of safes. For your own safety, do not wear jewelry while bathing.
- Let the key words of stillness and harmony guide your stay. Speak in small letters and move slowly.
- Alcohol and cell phones are not allowed in the spa area.
- Remember to top up with water or tea to stay hydrated, as baths and saunas are dehydrating.
- If you want to go to the gym or join our activities, please bring your training clothes. In the activities we are barefoot, but in the gym we use training shoes for indoor use.
- At Asia Spa we have a 15-year age limit (except during the summer when children are welcome in the company of their parents).
